I haven’t had internet access for almost a month, and while it wasn’t too bad for the first two weeks, since I had to work all day anyway, it was a bit annoying the rest of the time while not working. Yes, unbelievable but true, I had a little over two weeks of vacation! Today is my last day and I’m getting ready to make some cakes for my colleagues, since it was my birthday last week. Will make two cakes and some muffins. Hopefully they’ll like it.
Got my best birthday present from Carola, tickets to see Wicked in Stuttgart on November 24th!! I’m soo looking forward to finally seeing it. Especially since I didn’t get a chance when I was in New York. Awesome idea! <3 <3

I just came back from taking a nice walk. When I came home from work I got the sudden urge to do that, when I saw the gorgeous starry nightsky. So I checked the area via google earth to see if I can find some nice paths. And I found one too. I walked in the total dark and it was just wonderful. Quite cold but still. I really enjoyed it and think I will do this more often.

I FINALLY upgraded to 2.0.5! I know I’m kinda late, but hey, better late than never.

In addition to the upgrade I just uploaded a new layout for the site! Been a year since the last new one, and that one wasn’t even made by me.
So I wanted to have some wintery theme, preferrably with a vector graphic. I found the one above at iStockPhoto and really really liked it. So that’s the one I picked. Hope you all like it.

I keep telling myself that I’d write in here more often, but somehow I never do. And I don’t really write much in my LJ either, mainly random stuff, more serious posts are quite rare.
Well, I can guess I can write a bit about my new life, don’t you think?
Moving wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Living alone is quite nice actually. Though, admittedly, I’m not alone anymore. Just a few weeks ago I got these two sweethearts from a shelter. Max and Lilli are brother and sister and about 14 weeks old. They keep me very busy by running all around the flat like maniacs, but when they calm down they are so cute. The like to cuddle up on my stomach, and keep purring like crazy. Gotta love them!
My new flat is wonderful too, while you’re looking at pictures, you can take a look at the flat, too. Isn’t it nice? My personal favorites are the gallery in the living room and the walk-in closet in my bedroom. Lots of space for clothes and shoes. What more could a girl dream of?
Work is great, too. They put me on a project just a few days after I started there and I’m so glad they did. I met some very nice people. The department I’m sitting in (mainly for projects) has very nice people, it was very easy for me to make friends. Just a little over a week ago I had a girls-only evening at my place with two of my colleagues. It was very fun and I’m sure we’ll do it again soon. Only bad thing about it was the headache I had the next morning. :p

I really thought I’d miss home lots more than I actually do. But then again, it was about time I moved out from home, don’t you think? It’s not like I had to leave many friends behind, I had grown apart from most of them anyway, by having led completely different lives. And well, the select few I’m still friends with, I will keep in close contact with them.

Don’t really know what else to write right now. There’s nothing more to tell. Well, of course there is, but that’s more private and will go into my Livejournal. :p

I just uploaded a list of my owned books. You can find it here. Generated it with a script, and still have to figure out how to sort it. It should be sorted by authors, but somehow it all doesn’t look right. I’ll try to change all the authors to Last Name, First Name. Maybe that works.
This is only a list of all my English books. Didn’t add my German books. And yes, some of these are a bit old, I don’t think I’ve touched the Leonardo DiCaprio book in years. But I own it, so I added it to the list.
I should also add that I will add a nice layout to the page as soon as I have time to figure out how.

So this is actually a combination of two musicals. Mamma Mia! and Elisabeth. I saw Mamma Mia! last night with my mom, for the first time in German. I’ve seen it in NYC last summer, and can say that the shows are identical, same set, even the actors look very similar. Well, at least the German Sam looked a lot like the US Sam. It doesn’t really matter that the songs are in German, even though I know them in English by heart. It always amazes me, that the creators were able to base a whole story on the songs of ABBA, everything fits together perfectly. So yes, it was awesome, and my mom loved it lots, too!
And tonight….will be my last time seeing Olegg on stage as Death. The musical will run out in September, they will start performing The Three Musketeers after that. I just checked Olegg’s website and they confirmed that he will be performing tonight. YAY! And I will be sitting where? First row! Almost exactly in the center! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I’m so excited! So it’s not the first time I see it from the first row, but I’m still excited. So close to the sexiness that is Olegg. ^_^ Squeeeeeeeeeee!

I got my school grade report today and I’m absolutely speechless. I’m second best in my class. Not only did I get a certificate for outstanding achievements, but I also got a gift coupon worth 12 Euro for a book of my choice. Only two people in my class got that. I’m so happy, this is just amazing. Through the final exams I was actually able to up my accounting grade to a 1 (equals an A). My average is 1.4 in all exam subjects. 1.3 with everything altogether.
Now there’s only the final oral exam on Wednesday next week, but I don’t have to worry about that anymore. I passed! There’s nothing that can go wrong. I need 30 points which equals a 5.5 and that’s nothing. I will be much better than that.
*dances all over the place* I’m so happy!

My start into a new life is coming closer and closer. And it is starting to freak me out a bit. Last Saturday we went to IKEA and bought some general stuff I would need in my very own household and it was A LOT! All those things that you never think about when you use them. Luckily this was IKEA and everything we bought was like, insanely cheap (hopefully not in quality, too).
Next Saturday we’re driving up to the flat to measure some things, to get the keys, and to put some stuff there already.
Then it’s only a week left at my current job. June 19 will be my last day at the office. And while I’m so very grateful for having been able to learn my job there, I’m also very happy that this part of my life is over now. For various reasons it became very depressing lately.
On June 20 I have a last day at school, where we get our grade reports and exam results, I’m not sure whether I’m looking forward to that. While I had a good feeling about it right after the exams, this feeling now kinda faded away. Well, we’ll see what I get.
June 28 will be my final oral exam, and I really don’t know what to expect, absolutely no idea. Let’s hope it all goes well.

And the big move… will be on July 1st, which is a Saturday, luckily. So I can have people helping me out. July 3rd I will start my new job, and that is actually what scares me the most. What if they notice that I don’t fit into their profile after all? What if they realize that I don’t know shit about anything? I know I’m exaggerating, but it still is very scary.

Today in a week my first two exams will be over, and I’m so nervous! I don’t know how I will ever survive these. Friday will be my Politics exam and German essay. On Monday I will have my accounting and my general economics exam and the worst will be on Tuesday, special economics. Please cross all finger and toes for me, that I will pass them!
